These notes are based on my experience with the Canon PowerShot S45, and with the software I happen to use, as well as how I happen to take and process photos. So they may not necessarily apply to your particular situation.

Equipment Hints (here)

• Get a compact, soft carrying case that attaches to your belt.
• Have 3 batteries, and "rotate them"
• Get a single, large compact flash card
• Get the right kind of tripod

• Always use RAW or superfine-large quality for shooting
• Distance Focusing: Using Manual Focus (and a bit about depth of field)
